This 600 SF alcove studio in a post-war Co Op in the Union Square Area was ready for a spiffing up.
The homeowner opted for a gut renovation which included all new electrical wiring and plumbing lines behind the walls, a new subfloor and hardwood flooring installation. We enlarged two closet openings and installed all new solid core doors and hardware.
We also skim coated all the walls and ceiling, replaced base moldings and casings and changed the patio door!
Lighting changes include two-circuit monorail track with spots and pendants as well as wall sconces and automatic lighting at closet doors. The project continues with additional lighting, window treatments, furniture shopping and, this spring, a redesigned terrace.
